I thought I would show you my Christmas cards this year... well one of them. Mostly this is going to family and friends. Then there will be a few different ones for crafty friends.

Cardstock is Cherry Cobbler co-ordinations and ink because I didn't have any white embossing powder (since fixed) I sponged the colour on.  The Embossing folder is soo sweet Northern Flurry (120902). The Stamp set is out of the Holiday Catalogue Ornament Keepsakes (128051) add some twine and some Dazzling diamonds...

How time flies...

How time flies, right!
I do have good news... After many issues and lots problems I have a new job!!! I tell you working for the Department of Education is not easy when you need to change your school! However I have made it through so lets hope I don't have to do it again too soon. It def feels strange to have to leave a job and have to  your boss refer you and help you find another job! Not that I have had this happen before but my understanding of working life is that you do your job well you get to stay! Integration Aides don't work that way... too many kids move to High School then last in have to go.  BUT I have another job that is really cool, it works well with my kids and me. More hours than I would of liked but less than now, I don't need before/after school care. I'm very excited about the move!

I have been crafting a little bit so the first card I have is not actually a card:

I made this reward chart for a little friend at school.  As crazy as it sounds I draw the Australia and neighbouring countries!! Mad I know. Once my mate gets 10 stars for good work then he gets a reward!

It is hard to see but the moon has craters! It was soo much fun to make!

Lucky last card for tonight... This little guy is soo cute. I coloured him with Copics so I mounted him white on white for a little bi of class and I hated the thought that you could see the coloring on the back.

Thanks for looking and Happy sweet 18th Birthday to my beautiful niece/cousin. Yes, I was about 21 when she was born so my Uncle has her call me Aunty. I think he is just trying to get at me and make me feel old but I have soo many nieces/nephews his evil plan failed!! LOL  Either that make himself feel young :D

Goodnight

Turtle Love

I know, I know its been awhile.

I could tell you what has been going on but it's such a long story...

Anyways this is a card I did a little while ago for a child at school so its a pretty clean and simple little thing.

The image is by Whipper Snapper, they are soo cute. I stamped it on watercolor paper and colored it with my Stampin Up Markers
The backing paper was done using Goosebumps Shimmer Texture Spray. All I have done is drip it on a piece of cardstock by undoing the bottle and dripping it on. I wanted bigger spots than just spraying. Once it has dried I have then simply sponged the color on over the top.

I have tried to keep the sponging uneven to create abit of extra something on the panel.

Thanks for looking.

I have a quick little card for you tonight. I made this for a little girl at school, so nothing too flash.

She loves to put clips and things in her hair and this image reminds me of her each time I see it. It is a Sweet Pea image that belongs to my friend.

I hope you like it.

She is coloured using Copics just a little bit. Had to have abit of sparkle on her tum, wings and wording.

Thanks for looking.

I have a couple of little cards for you today.

A friend of mine is doing a craft market for her school. She invited us over to play and help her out. These are the cards I did for her.

It makes it easy to write this when all stamps were Inkadinkadoo- purely accidentally. Ink was by ColorBox or Stazon. She really needed Versafine but we worked with what she had. Never the less I would suspect she will be looking for one soon. She will love it when she gets it. I noticed she had alot of stamps that were abit on the fine side.

So the pay off was that I would be putting the cards I made on the blog. :)

So you can see the wording isn't quite perfect. But I do like it. I don't own the owl but I might have to make a few of these with some another stamp.

I just made one of these. My friend can make more at a later date. I do like this stamp as well... Doh! I feel some shopping coming on...

The next card is a version of one by Teresa Abajo. I LOVE the idea of a bandaid on a card. So I hope she doesn't mind...

I don't have a pic of Teresa's to show you anymore. But hers had some circles on it and the sentiment was raised up.

Next time I would put a smaller round bit of "padding" but I still LOVE it.

This card was a birthday day for a friend. Clean and simply.

This was a card I made using the a die by Marianne Designs. Abit of sponging and grid stamp randomly stamped over the base.

Thank for looking.

Catch up chat

Hi all,

Things have been very crazy round here, I won't bore you with the details way toooo long!!

Any who I just things have been alot better for you guys.

The first card  I have is not an original. I made a while ago so I can't give any credit to anyone.

Seam Binding is Stampin Up Cherry Cobbler with a Kaisercraft pearl brad. Stamp are also from Stampin Up Aviary set. Cardstock is Crumb cake

This is my mother in law birthday card. Image is Stampin Up I think Eastern Blooms, but don't quote me on that- its retired anyway. :) Ribbon is a retiring  the stripe Grosgrain Ribbon, so let me know if you wish to get some.

As you can see it is abit of a catch up post. My mojo left last month with no forwarding address so I thought I might do some multi posting- if there is such a word. lol Trying to entice it back.

A llittle bit of resist work- got to love resist. I borrowed a friends Poly sparkle embossing powder, me thinks I need to get me some of this. It gives a slight sparkle to the embossing. Background is Hero Arts and the sentiment is by Tim Holtz- Life's Possibilities collection.

A bit of distress ink sponging and bobs your uncle.
Next up is a baby card I got the idea on splitcoaststampers.
Thanks for looking

A Little Bit of Eye Candy

Just a little bit of eye candy of a crafty nature...

One of my friends had a little boy recently and this was the card I made for them.
I coloured him with Copics.G21,24 and 40 for his B00,000 for the sky effect. B93,95,97 for the cake and balloon, and E41,40,47,43 for the ground.

Stamp is from Stampin Up- Elebration 125050. Cute isn't he? Cardstock was Marina Mist.

This little guy is sooo cute, he is from Papermania. His name is Wellington.

He is coloured with Copics. Wellington is coloured with E40,41,43,47 and the chair is E19,17,15 and 13.
I was told I had to do a ATC for the "to be"owner of the card, so this is the matching ATC.  Such a cute image. I didn't mark down the blue colours I used but probably the B93 etc.

Thanks for sharing

Magnolia Tria

Hi all, I hope you all are having a great Sunday.

I have card for you today from my Tria Club and another little something for my Inchies swap to share with you.

First is the Tria image. We used a stamp by Magnolia this time. Papers are from Bo Bunny 6" x 6" paper pack. Ribbon is one I think I got from Spotlight.

Lily Of The Valley recently did a tutorial on this style of card using the image to hold the card up.

The image was coloured using Copics. The scallop border was made using Die-namics die an I used Spellbinders Labels  .

I don't like a big border on my mats so I draw around the same label as I used to cut out the image. So my mat was only a little bit bigger, I just find it tends to take over the card front. I also cut a piece from white cardstock for the inside of the card.

Abit of copic on the flowers so they match.

After a little bit of bling here and there... all done.

Next, our Inchie swap had a theme of Sewing. I had a great idea which in the end I couldn't do because I had to change the colour and I couldn't do this because I left my irresdecent medium behind when I went away for the weekend. ugh. I took the stamp the embossing powders, the new colour, ( the old colour wasn't going to work cos some silly twit used a purple and the top image was always cream!) but not the medium to do the inchie base. Some mothers do have them! lol So I will show you the irresdecent medium another day.

I used the recently released Button background stamp from Darkroom Door. Ink is More Mustard from Stampin Up and black Stazon. Little bit of gauze and the stamp is from Prima.

I used the dressmaking Mannequin from the set and stamped this with Stazon on Shrinky Dink plastic. Due to the fine image I had to heat this in the oven with waxed paper on the top to assist with it not folding onto itself. Once it was small I pressed an aryclic block to flatten it.

Quick look at my Inchies for March. Image is from High Hopes. Coloured with Twinkling H2o.

Hope you like them.

Promised ATC

So here are the ATC's I promised.

First up is my card for Little Bits Stamp Camp 2012. The theme was "Royal". Oh my gosh what could I do for that!! As it happened the same night I was colouring an image for my son James's birthday card. Suddenly I looked at it and came up with my camp ATC. Only problem was the fact I had to make 34 of them. So they were going to be very clean and simple.

The image was a friend's so I'm not sure anymore who made it. I coloured it with copics and added some glitz and there you go!

Next is for my June ATC. We were given a sketch and I decided to make a rolled rose.

That was the easy part. Fun part was the dying and rolling it up. I used Glimmer mist of Old Lace, there was another for added shimmer and abit of log cabin by Smooch -Spritz.

When we were at Stamp Camp we were given a beautiful kit containing Prima products, lace, ribbon. It was a great paper pack too. They matched the roses beautifully. There was about 2-3 pages per design and I just didn't get enough so there is a last couple that are different but I challenge you to find them! lol.

The sketch had an oval in the middle of the design and rather than adding more papers I cut the oval out of the initial layer. I added abit of sponging with Antique Linen ink and distressed the edges and added it all together.

We are also going to submit some ATC for publication. Who knows if it will ever get published but... Never know if you don't try. So if you are thinking about it GO FOR IT!

We were given a kit of lovely papers, ribbon, twine, lace, embellishments and card stock.

This is going to be my submission. Number one:

A friend had this map stamp which fitted in well.

Number Two

I hope one fits in with everyone elses cards and we get published which is very exciting.

Lucky last is a ATC I made for the theme "Graphic 45" to use Graphic 45 products.

Thanks for stopping by.

Sunday, July 8, 2012

It's not the ATC's I promised but I had to show you this card I made using the Medallion stamp from Stampin Up and a resist technique.

I sponged it with distressed inks and stamped over the top with the En Francis stamp. Ribbon is Certainly Celery satin ribbon with the lace Ribbon Border punch behind it.

This card was a request from my husband. It has abit of a story behind it. It, of course, was for Halloween last year. I made it for a lovely guy from Darren's work. (He actually loaned us a car when Darren totalled the 18month old Kia - at the time I didn't realise who it was for)

The numbers on the background is actually the phone number of a client. There is another story there too.

Apparently to this day it still sits on his desk. The image is from La la land Halloween Luka coloured with Copics.

Talk soon

Well, Pakenham Picture to Page is on again today. I think it was a pretty good day yesterday. Plenty of people, which was great after the false start 2 weeks ago. I picked up a few bits and pieces. Apart from a 12 x 12 paper rack for my mum and a Kazazz catalogue that isn't pictured, I don't think I did too bad.

I need some catching up on the photos so the first is a friends birthday card.

How Funky is that background...? I run an embossing folder thru the Cuttlebug with some waxed paper in it and then ironed it onto the gloss card stock. After a little bit of sponging...

The little owls are from The Greeting Farm "Hoo Loves You" There is three little owls and this one is my favourite. Soo much attitude!!

I hand drew the branch. Coloured with Copics.

Another one I have to catch up on showing you is one I did for my eldest sons birthday. Clean and simple card using the Stamp It set. Papers are from Bo Bunny Zoology collection. Brads are Stampin Up as is the card stock. Sponged with Distressed inks and then I added some white pencil on his eyes.
Later today after some editing I'll try to post about the ATC's I've just finished for a submission to a magazine.

Thanks for looking.
